Winter in Vera
Vera is wonderful! We haven't participated in quite as many naked activities in the last few months as we would during the summer months, but part of the beauty of living on the coast in the south of Spain is that even in winter it's possible to enjoy extensive naked time outside!
During the winter months we have, for example, visited the beach, swum in the sea, hiked in the mountains and lounged in the sun. You have to pick your time and day, but there are countless opportunities to enjoy outside naked time during the winter. We've also spent our fair share of naked time inside, of course – spa days, dinners and life drawing sessions, just to mention a few!
There are places –most closer the equator– where the climate might be more suited to 365-days-a-year naked living, but the climate is not the only ingredient that goes into the perfect mix for all-year nudity; some of the other, vital ingredients may be lacking in other parts of the globe.
It may be, for example, that the population does not share the understanding that the Spanish have for those who love living naked, or there isn't the abundance of wonderful spaces in nature in which it's possible to enjoy quality naked time, or, vitally, the respect by the population for the freedom of expression that we benefit from here, and that is enshrined in this country's constitution, is not on quite the same level.
All these factors contribute to making the south of Spain one of the most attractive places in the world for naked living.
And now the weather is warming up – yesterday we enjoyed an extensive swim in the sea at Vera Playa – the promise of more naked time is upon us. As we we move into spring, there will be more hikes, more beach trips, more swimming and more naked excursions.
The visitors also will begin to arrive, and then we'll start enjoying one of the other attractive aspects of naked living: sharing it with others!
